We invite you to share your story about any personal change experience that’s meaningful to you.
As we look at national political debates and social media streams, we see growing polarization and deep divides. Our personal differences are highlighted and intensified by a conflict-craving media. Blogs and news channels cater to our wants, producing echo chambers where we only hear what we already believe. If we do happen to encounter people with different views, we quickly deploy our best arguments to change their minds. When they don’t join our side, we grow confused. We wonder, “How could this seemingly sensible person refuse to change their mind!?!”
We've experienced this many times, too. But how can we expect others to embrace change if we don't understand how we’ve changed ourselves?
OurChangeStories.org provides a platform to build understanding and communicate more effectively with others by sharing our own experience of change.
We want to hear your change story and share it with the world. Send us a short essay and a few images, then we'll post your story on our website. As the archive of stories grows, we'll all learn a little more about the surprising ways change happens.
